Comments: Dear Ingrid! I was lucky and so happy to spend a couple of hours with her in Starbucks during my last visit in November. She was weak, but still ever so happy, proud of her horses and her work, grateful for her friends and the love that she knew she had all around her. I will miss her. Her love will stay with us...

Comments: I met Ingred when I had decided the Lusitano was the breed for me as well and have enjoyed, so much, watching her beautiful horses compete. A true ambassador for the breed. The shows will not be the same without you there. Rest in peace.

Comments: "You will hear the beat of a horse's feet, And the swish of a skirt in the dew, Steadily cantering through The misty solitudes, As though they perfectly knew The old lost road through the woods- But there is no road through the woods!" Rudyard Kipling
Ingrid, you rode your path in a manner that I will always respect and admire. You are missed in these woods.I know you are welcomed into The Garden.

Comments: I have known Ingred for the past 15 years and as time went on we became closer and closer. When I was diagnosed with cancer 2 1/2 years ago she was one of the rocks that helped hold me up. Her spirit never flagged and she kept moving forward with her life and her horses as long as she could. I am so glad that we went to Las Vegas together this spring. We had a wonderful time and were there to see Ravel win the World Cup, an amazing experience. Comments: Oh this is so very hard.... to Adam, to Markie... you are your mom's absolute treasures but this website is about horses so where to begin??? After 20 years of practice, Ingred Lin changed my equine worldview by generously sharing hers- her passion for the Lusitano. The story is long but what I will say here is that this amazing horsewoman found a perfect match for her character, class and substance in this wonderful breed. She shared it generously and with enthusiasm and passion- shunned the business practices of the horse dealers, and found lusitano partners for other worthy enthusiasts. I consider my friendship with Ingred to be one of my life's greatest treasures. Godspeed my dear friend....

Comments: I met Ingred in 2008 when I was searching for a Lusitano. She was so kind to me: taking me in to her home, putting me on all her horses, giving me lessons, having me sit down to dinner with her family as if I was part of it. She was gracious, determined in her riding, and gave me great guidance in finding a competitive Lusitano. I admired her focus on her horses and family all the while dealing with her treatment, but continuing to find the determination to ride. She and I stayed friends: she wis so loved and missed.

Comments: I introduced myself to Ingrid in 2007 after I had just been diagnosed with breast cancer. I was about to start chemotherapy, and I was feeling sorry for myself. I took "a ride" with Ingrid on her golf cart at a white fences horse show, and we talked about my upcoming treatments. Even though I was a total stranger to her, she had a huge impact on my outlook towards the chemo. "Do the chemo, and just ride your horse," were her words to me. She was a sage and brave woman, and a role model for those of us who have battled and are continuing to battle this terrible disease. Thank you, Ingrid

Comments: And he arched his neck,so graceful, and he tossed his tail so saucy, Like a proudly waving plume long and white! He was light of hoof and fleet, she was supple firm in seat, In the country, could come nigh us; scarce the swallows could out fly us. But the planet spun beneath us,and the sky went whizzing by us, In the hurricane we made of the air. --Robert W. Service-- Ride on Ingrid, thankyou for all you have given and shared with us all. May God be with you now. Kate Kouba
