My heart started aching this morning when I read about Ingred. I could not believe that she is not here any more. she was one of one of the best persons I've ever met. I was honored to work for her, Mitchell and the boys. I aways miss that time.

Ingred was on of the strongest people I know. She is the best example of how horses can keep you going. Her love for them and this sport was incredible. She was also so giving. We are all missing her so much. What a true fighter and hero!

I send my thoughts, prayers, and heartfelt condolences to Ingred's family and close friends. New to this area, I enjoyed attending my first White Fences show last year. However and unfortunately, I never actually got to meet Ingred. But in some ways, it feels as if I have. This is because of all of the wonderful things people say about her: a kind, generous, loving woman, open and giving to all those around her. With a true passion for the horses and a heart for people and equine alike, it is certain she will be missed by all who knew her and I send blessings to her family.

With deepest sympathy,
Ana

I met Ingred when a friend of mine sold her a horse..she invited her to her home @ White Fences..and I was invited along... I was very lucky to meet Ingred, spend time in her beautiful home and see/meet her Lusitanos who she just started to import. After I left...Ingred would occasionally send me an email..I was ALWAYS happy to hear from her and we shared a love for the Baroque horse... She was a kind, generous person who made a big impression on me from the moment I met her... God Bless Ingred.

Like Barbara Baboyian, Ingred has impacted my life by introducing me to a Lusitano stallion, Saltando. Thanks to the kindness of Ingred and Bettina Drummond, this lovely young fellow became mine in 2004. Ingred helped me overcome my reluctance – at age 63- to begin what seemed like an overwhelming project. Thank you Ingred for your encouragment, and bless you Bettina for your skill and generosity in providing Saltando’s continuing education. He and I will enjoy growing old together.

In February of 2009 Ingred gave me one of my most treasured gifts - she sold me the very grand Lusitano, Obelisco. He became my 60th birthday present from my husband - the Lusitano I had always dreamed of owning. Ingred entrusted this very senitive and special animal to my care for his life, and I will forever remember her very special gift to me. Our last conversation together last March was about her illness and that what got her up every day and kept her going was her deep love for her horses. It was as simple as that - her horses.

Ingrid, you will be missed by so many people. You were the strongest and most vibrant women. Your love for horses never wavered.
May you ride forever with the wind in your hair
